Home Watch Property Inspections


Home Watcher Pros routine inspections will include exterior and interior checks.

 

Exterior:

  • Landscape monitoring to ensure your lawn maintenance crew is keeping up with your property
  • Walk the property looking for any issues, fallen trees and to pick up trash the wind carried over to your property
  • Check for damage and potential problems
  • Ensure exterior lights are working properly
  • Visually check the condition of A/C Units
  • Check hose bibs, are properly secure and not leaking
  • Visually assess the quality of pool and spa maintenance performance, including looking for obvious leaks and damage (if applicable)
  • Pick up mail, flyers, and newspapers and bring them inside so that your home doesn't look vacant
  • Check all doors, windows, and sliders to confirm they are locked and secure, and look for signs of forced entry


Interior:

  • Check all doors, windows, and sliders again to confirm they are locked, secure and working properly
  • Adjust room lighting to make the home look like its occupied (at the request of owner)
  • Check for signs that pests/insects are making themselves cozy while you're away
  • All rooms are checked for signs of roof leaks, including window frames
  • Check security system are working properly (if applicable)
  • Check interior faucets/showers/toilets looking for signs of leaks
  • Flush toilets to remove stagnant water and prevent hard water rings
  • Run faucets, showers, garbage disposals, dish and clothes washer machines to prevent gaskets and seals from drying out, as well to ensure they are operational
  • Verify electrical service panel does not have tripped breakers caused by power surges, reset if needed
  • Verify A/C, Heater, and thermostat are set properly for the season and functioning as it should
  • Check interior temperature and humidity levels
  • Check A/C air filters and change as needed
  • Test smoke detectors to make sure they are working properly
  • Verify refrigerator and freezer are functioning properly and check for leaks
  • Visually check the water heater for signs of issues and/or leaks
  • Check basements/garages for obvious issues
  • Visually inspect all windows, skylights, toilets, baths/showers, walls, ceilings, under sinks, hot water heaters and toilets for signs of water damage, mold, and mildew
  • Check interior lighting for blown bulbs
  • Inform owner of any items that need immediate attention and take appropriate actions, per owner's request

  • Storm and Severe Weather follow-up inspections
  • Auto, Marine, and RV start-up services (if applicable)
  • Night Audit (come by the property after dark to check the premises is well lit and secure)


Communication

Upon completion of our visit, we will send you a full digital report (including photos). If we find anything that requires immediate attention we will follow up with you and take the necessary actions to resolve any issues found.
